[ATM] Unique New Equatorial Platform Design

Greetings Friends!

Over the Memorial Day weekend, I presented my new equatorial mount
invention to the attendees at the Riverside Telescope Makers Conference,
where I formally announced the release of the invention into the public
domain. A friend suggested that I tell this list about it as well.

Unlike existing equatorial mounts and software methods that have
attempted to correct for periodic error (PEC), it is the intent of
my invention to entirely *eliminate* periodic error by design.

In all honesty, I have not yet fully proven the merits of this
design, but I am now working on final refinements and testing.

This design lends itself especially well to the home-builder,
and is also suitable for very heavy observatory instruments.
You could build a "quick and dirty" "star-party" version of
this in no time, or, with a little more care, a version that
could rival $10,000 precision machined mounts.
