Hi Anthony!
You seem to have a peak at 590 nm that flattens out at 6 months.
Do you have reads from regular time intervals that could indicate
the rate of oxidation (I guess that's what this is). Is this peak
preserved if the speculum is kept in an oxygen-free environment?
One interesting idea that comes to my mind involves the sharp drop in
UV reflectivity while approaching the reflectivity of aluminum
towards the IR. I suppose this could be useful as an IR mirror with
naturally occuring integrated far UV filter.
I would be happier to get some sense of the stability of your
instrument. Along those lines, the reading from the aluminum appears
typical. Any chance you could indicate standard error of mean from a
few measurements for the "fresh" and "6 month" time points and
anything in between?
