OOPPTTHHH, I got an extra digit in there!  drop that last digit
(the 5) and that is what I measured.  I suspect that even that
number is in doubt as the caliper used was a chink one bought off
of eBay for a few bucks.
One of the collaries to Murphy's law is that no matter what you
have for tools, the next project is going to need something new.
So it goes with my measuring tools.   I've got several 6"
calipers (as well as a 5" one that measures in fractions of an
inch!) and a 12" one.  This piece of glass is a little bit over
13" so it was time to buy another caliper and I got one that
measures to 24" which means that the next piece of glass that I
need to measure will probably be 25" in diameter.
