This week I managed to cut three nice 14" disks from a .75" thick plate glass tabletop.
There is a page at http://www.pbase.com/paulkline/cutting_blanks with the story
and a few pictures.  Everything was made from scraps and I kind of like the distressed
wood look which comes from using 2-year-old spray paint left out in an unheated garage.
