All glass is "Silica" glass,  that's the basic component in the formula. If you are talking about "Fused Silica" or Quartz", that is a different animal. If you want to confirm fused silica or quartz, set it and another piece of regular glass (a dinner plate will do) in the sun. The dinner plate will get hot, the Fused Silica/Quartz will not and will feel cool compared to the regular glass since it does not absorb IR to any great extent.
