For hogging I used these to make my 16 F5.  The middle
thing is a a three step pully.  The tile tool was cast
in an amost finished mirror that a friend had.  I was
lucky to find one at the same ROC I was making.  Your
luck may vary.  Yes those are US nickels glued on with
JB Weld.  You can see that they ground away some.

I started with the tool on the left. I finished up
using a tile and plaster tool as described by Richard
Swartz for fine grinding.
