[ATM] Star test by the seat of your pants..

     Bob  May, you hit the nail on the head. You can test old scopes, new 
scopes, in progress
scopes with a star test but this is a hard curve to judge (too many 
variables)
   Put your Ronchi screen infront of your eyepice.. many tales are told.. 
some that the manufacturers
of the industry don't want you to see.   The star test is the LAST test.. 
your confidence from
all other tests should lead you to this end.... and then coating.. and then 
elation after coating
and seeing how bright and crisp your magnified veiw can be...    Russ Jocoy
