Jan, you should be using the same tool to make the two mirrors.  As such,
they should end up being the same focal length during grinding with any
errors being seen as actual measuring errors rather than true errors.
If you are, at present, using two tools, set one aside for usage with the
pitch and use the other tool on both mirrors to get their focal length the
same.
