I have converted the base to a flex rocker since the
pictures were taken however the main difference is
that the altitude base no longer has a metal plate
keeping it square. Now there are two narrow cross
members concecting the corners on the diagonal. In
one of the pictures you can see that the mirror box is
sitting on the gound and the altitude bearings are
just off the ground.
