[ATM] ATM: Gentlemen and scholars, all

I believe that everyone on this list is not only a scholar, but a gentleman.

I do not know everyone on the list, but I know Richard Schwartz, whom I
affectionately call "Flying Wing Man" (or, for short: "wing man"). Richard
and I, in addition to sharing our enthusiasm for mirror making and telescope
building, both flew old airplanes when we were younger; Richard got to fly
some of the pioneering Northrop flying wings. Wow! He is living history.

Richard has often provided me with some particularly brilliant solutions for
some math problems connected with optics. That is why I gave him my Hewlett
Packard model 41C programmable calculator. There are a lot of capable (VERY
capable) mathematicians on our list; it is only that I know Richard better
than the others, and know how savvy he is with math- makes me ashamed of my
"math ignorance!"

Richard would give you the shirt off of his back if you asked for it-
