Since buying this blank on Astromart ($500), I have come to believe that the
thickness/mass is a problem.  I could try and sell it (good for an optical
flat?) and get a thinner one.  However, it may be easier to have it sliced
and sell half of it to pay for the work.  Supposedly it is a very
high-quality piece of glass.
