Although it doesn't explicitly say so, I sort of figured Alan's S&T
article pretty much implied a free license for non commercial, ATM use.
 I think if he had meant otherwise, he would have written as much. One
thing he is not, is ignorant of patent license issues.  I don't know,
but strongly suspect the S&T editors wouldn't have accepted the article
for publication without the understanding of a free license for atm's.
That has pretty much been the norm for the Gleanings for ATM's /
Telescope Techniques / Telescope Making departments of the magazine for
as long as I can remember.  (I can remember quite a long way on this
subject.)
