Hey Jim,

The first approximation model for LEDs works well for basic circuits and
is really not difficult.  Give a shout any time you feel a need to know.
 In fact, maybe I'll write up a web page on it.  Perhaps I can attract
someone that knows a bit beyond the first approximation to add to it.
