:-) I replyed about 30sec to early as well.  I take it you are talking 
about the flower petal style inserts for tubing.  I would drill and tap 
a piece of alum bar to use as a driver.  thread the insert in as far as 
you need then bang it into the tube.  A piece of hardwood may wood as well.
