[ATM] Aging atm's

OK, Dave. You have finally written something to get me mad! Amateur telescope
making, is as you very well know, an old hobby. Sure there are lots of new
techniques and new tricks, and those are very valuable. But, a lot of the
troubles atm's constantly reencounter have been encountered and solved
multiple ways by multiple people over a long span of time. Let's not evaluate
ideas or people based on age or youth. In this game, it is careful
observation, careful experimentation and careful thinking that count. Those
are timeless.

I, for one, am quite happy to hear from someone who made careful observations
years ago and is willing to share them now, even if current circumstance
prevents him from being up on the latest tricks.

I am also very pleased to read about newfangled tricks that enrich the hobby and
make more and better telescope making available to more people.
