Quite right- I said Adler controlled the flex patents. Whether Adler's 
patent protected compression flexing, not being an attorney, I have no idea. 
I know of no other flex patents. You wrote, "your patent claim etc.," It is 
not my patent and I would not have chosen to file for it. I have not filed 
for, been denied, or received any optical patents. Alan assigned a samall 
portion of ownership of the flex patent to Howard Moore (deceased) and me. 
For some inexplicable reason it has not been a source of income.

The center pull flex system I published in Sky & Tel in June 1992 is in the 
public domain as I intended. Seems to be widely known and used, despite some 
crabbing about all flex systems in recent posts. I think I share with you a 
thankfulness that most amateur optical invention has been intended for 
public ownership.
