I use them because they are little, go anywhere on the tester, have a very
ling life and are easily wired up.  Then again, I'm an electronics tech so
things like that come easy to me.  The color of the LED doesn't bother me as
I use a B&W camera to do my testing so that my eyebrows don't get shaved
while testing and any color is easily focused to the camera and it all turns
into graysacle due to the camera.
