Spent an afternoon yesterday helping a guy understand all about his Foucault
tester.
One of the things that he had trouble understanding was the concept of
measuring the various zones on a zony mirror.  He just couldn't quite get
the concept that it doesn't matter what the other areas of the doing and
that those things were irrevelant to the measuring of a zone.  He kept
thinking that the other areas of the mirror were important while measuring
one zone.  Finally got him to make a mask of only one zone and then we
tested at that zone and then did a thought testing of the other zones and
that suddenly made sense to him.
