I've got a mold that you put between the glass and the pitch and the pitch
comes up through holes to contact the glass.
I use either the mold or just do the Dobson method of pushing lines into the
hot pitch with a lubricated stick of some kind.
I've found that the fancy molds and old methods like the casting of blocks
ala Texerau and so forth to be extremely labor intensive to do and being a
basically lazy person, I'd rather do something else to get the job done.
Even the silicone mold is borderline excessive work.
