Supprisingly, the biggest problem that you're gonna have is reducing the
size of the components to easily do the test. I'd consider that a beam
splitter would be quite necessary to get the light source and the returned
beam coincident to each other. You will also be using a small splitter (a
5mm cube will be more than big enough, I'd think) and the whole assy. could
probably be hung on the lens of the camera and you don't want to use a
general purpose lens as the aperture stop is too far back into the lens but
rather use a doublet lens for the purpose.
You also run into the problem of the wide angle needed for the test (F2 is
rather short for the Foucault test) but it can be done if you work at it.
