Well, I misunderstood earlier - the 140 was indeed C not F, so
I'm having trouble seeing how a coffee maker could melt it as it
only reaches about 90C other wise the coffee would boil. Also
means hot water is out. To know the actual melting point would be
very useful. Both our hotplates and oven are gas fired, so a
degree of risk is involved with either.
Do people unwind the carboard tube off the pitch or melt the
pitch while still in the cardboard tube (which is lined with
something silvery).?
