I have a friend that can go much deeper.  He was brought to a star 
party by another friend.  He kept asking if we were 'blind as bats' 
because he kept asking about things we couldn't see.  As a test I asked 
him to count the stars in the bowl of the big dipper.  He started 
counting and then said, "There are way too many across the bottom to 
count".  Next time you are out put your binocs on the bottom of the 
bowl......
