Bob - silly as this sounds for someone on this group - I would have someone 
ELSE make the mirror.  I have no interest whatsoever in MAKING a mirror like 
this, but a GREAT deal of interest in using it - both to design and build a 
telescope, and to pull in more photons.

Thanks for the opinion.  As I have been thinking over the last few weeks, I 
believe that you are correct about a 15-16.  I am currently thinking that I 
may try to make an 18" telescope, light enough that I can lift it.  
Basically, an 18" f4.5 Obsessin clone.  Well - OK, probably not as heavy.
