Didn't know they had dark. I've used the clear for a couple of projects, over
the past 2 years now. In fact, the mirror I'm working on now I'm using 4
laps, 2 of which are gugolz 73 and 2 of which are medium acculap.

I haven't used it for polishing - only for figuring, but it works just fine
for that. It sure as heck does stick to stuff, just like regular pitch, only
it's less visible (a blessing and a curse). It also dries just as fast as
pitch, IMHO - and when it dries, the drag on the lap gets quite high.

Only when overheated. I like to channel with a soldering iron, but with this
stuff a razor blade is better because of the fumes.

No more so than pitch, IMHO.

I don't know if it can be mixed (although I would assume it could be). I've
only used the one package of it, and as I said, it's still going strong.
Supposedly it doesn't change viscosity over time like "regular" pitch, so you
don't need to "temper" it with anything - so far that agrees with my
experience.
All-in-all fine stuff, although I'm not going to throw away my gugolz - that
still works too!
Clear skies.
