Acculap - fine stuff.  Using it exclusively on machine
laps now, the medium grade works perfectly and resists
loading.  A boiling water rinse works to clean it and
reshape back to like new.  SUPER lifetime, this is the
huge advantage.  Getting very smooth surfaces off the
machine.  The prep is wire brushing under hot tap
water.  

I'm thinking it can work for parabolizing, but I use
tempered Gugolz for that and Acculap doesn't go that
soft.  They will custom make it if you supply a mess
of pitch (a few lbs) the hardness you want as a
target.

Dark vs clear?  Didn't know it came in dark, but
really contact with some CeO2 on the mirror is easy to
see.  I like the clear 'cause you can't see it on the
kitchen floor like you can with Gugolz. ;)

Not too smelly unless you overheat it, but don't sniff
too deeply in any case, mildly noxious fumes.

Channels just like pitch when cold.

Did I mention lasts almost forever?
