Oh, I also forgot that if you're the only guy on the machine, you may log in
or not and the computer will still work fine.  Unfortunately, settings that
you did when logging in rather than canceling the login will be diffeerent
and you won't really notice the difference until you need one of those
variables different.  This works even for cookies!  Cookies that you get as
a logged in entity aren't read when you cancel the login.
