Re: [ATM] Fine scratches during polishing - Cures?

Having been down this route and scratched the glass more times than I would
like to admit I now leave paper alone.
I used toilet tissue, paper hankies, kitchen towels, etc, many different
grades of soft tissues (but not special photographic lens tissues though).
In all cases I eventually scratched the mirror although sometimes got away
with it for a few dozen goes.
Now I use a fast tap in the laundry sink, heaps of detergent to wash the
hands first, then the mirror, using the flat of my hand whilst the water is
spouting fast and heavy to wipe all residues. I then place the mirror on
the test stand and wash from the top down wards with alcohol (metho) from a
squirt bottle to remove the water.
Since using this regime I have never scratched the mirror.
The mirror dries in approx 3 mins, the excess alcohol drips onto a pad of
tissues at the bottom of the mirror and are then thrown.
