[ATM] More on my Mak-Cass project

A few basic ideas are on my web site:

I'm getting into the hard details now, and I'd like to pose a question to
the list. It might be helpful to look at the following schematic that was
sent to me:

My question concerns the baffle tubes. In the schematic, they are solid
pieces with triangular cross-sections. I was thinking of making them
simple, straight tubes and adding knife-edge baffles (to the outside of
the primary / inside of the secondary baffle) to stop glancing reflections
from slightly off-axis light sources. But I am worried that this could
backfire and cause ghosting. Any suggestions?

The optics will be quartz, and should hopefully cool quickly. I plan to
have a mostly open rear cell much like the AP Mak-Cass. The focuser will
be external. There will be collimation adjustments for both the primary
and secondary mirrors, while the meniscus will be fixed.

Comments?
