Thanks, Rick and John for the advice on polishing time.  The glass is Pyrex and my polishing
compound is CeO.  Sounds like I'm not there yet but possibly closer than Tex would say, since I'm
using CeO rather than rouge (good point!).  Laser spot is looking pretty good, even at the edge,
which was not the case just one polishing hour ago.

Once again, I see where having a nice clear mirror back is useful;  mine is roughed up because I
started working one side of the blank, then decided to flip it over and work the other side
instead.  The back side is possibly a slight bit concave and is between 80 and 120 grit in
coarseness - oh, well.  Hopefully this won't pose problems for building a mirror cell that works.
