Re: [ATM] flex mirrors - current state of the art?
Gary,
Guess it's time to post some of the new flex work on our beloved arm site.
Flexed mirrors reproduce all of the conic aspherics, and thus will produce
hyperboloids of equal quality.
Sorry we haven't added much content recently to flexmirror.com. There will
be much more soon.
Keep in touch. Be glad to exchange ideas.

Hi,
wondering what the current starte of the art is with flex mirrors?
Has anyone completed one successfully? I haven't been able to find any web
pages of atm's that have completed one.
I am also wondering whether it would be possible to flex a sphere into a
hyperbola - I am looking at making the 8" astrograph in dec 1996 sky and tel
which uses an f4.5 hyperbola and correcting lens for a 4 degree field of
view at f3.6. Flexing would make it an easy all spherical project.....
cheers
Gary
