Re: [ATM] BVC

Ditto on Bob's observations (it looks awful inside). The material is very
different to work with than pyrex. Alot softer!

Tom Janstrom in Australia recently finished one, and he compared it to
working with very very hard "rubber."

I'm currently figuring a 14" BVC blank, using CeO to get close, and
finishing up with rouge. I've seen good mirrors made from this stuff...

I'd get one, especially if you're in Canada. The glass is soft and it looks
bad inside but the glass is stable and produces a nice mirror. You will
probably be wanting to figure with rouge rather than CeO so be prepared.
I've seen one mirror done with the BVC and it turned out well. Had to
finish it with rouge as the CeO that I've got seemed to make for dogbiscuit
even with very slow strokes.
