[ATM] I3Piece with a Binovue?
Hi all,
I have a question - I have one of those Collins I3Pieces and I have a
Televue Binnovue.... question is has anyone married up the two? And not with
two I3Pieces - how horrendous an expense! But with say the binovue as more
of a transfer lens /splitter arrangement to take the view of the tiny
intensifier tube screen up through the Binovue so I can look at the view
with both eyes... Essentially, I believe the eyepiece of the Collins unit
already kinda works like that, and perhaps I just need a focal length
extender of some sort and microscope-type eyepieces? Some kind of transfer
lens? I also own the Collins video adapter unit that may have some kind of
telenegative lens (with an aperture), to do video work... hmmm... Seems like
a used stereo microscope head would be ideal but I would rather employ the
Televue! Any thoughts or guidance would be much appreciated - before I dive
into obscure raytracing or calling Al Nagler up for advice! <grin>....
(after all the Collins optics are made by him-)
thanks for any thoughts!!
