RE: [ATM] surface bubble - filling pits?
If you have just broken into the top of the bubble, so that the angle of
the glass where it intersects the surface is less than 90 degrees, there
is a risk of glass breaking off in fine grinding and causing
scratches. Might be best to take a piece of straight wire, or the butt
end of a small drill bit and a paste of fine abrasive and grind into the
bubble until the thin, unsupported edge of the bubble is ground away. A
little bigger hole is better than a smaller one that breaks off glass
during fine grinding or polishing.
