I did an 8 inch from ASM a while ago....the glass is very soft and easy to grind. Polishing wenet quickly for the same reason. However it is tricky to figure, in that changes in the shape can occur very rapidly.
As for its quality, i don't notice any issues with the optics in the scope (i've only ever done 2 mirrors though, so i'm nowhere near an expert on the matter)
