First of all, thanks to those who provided me with grinding tips... I am now
at my desired sag. But...

Since I had to grind more glass out than expected, I exposed an air bubble
in the blank that I had counted on avoiding. Now I have an annoying pinhole
1/40" in diameter about 1/2" from the edge of my mirror (8" f/6).

Will it affect optical performance in any noticeable way? If so, can I fill
it and limit the negative effects?
