Mike is not butting end cut to end cut. Each end cut butts up against a
face of the next piece of wood. This results in the joint of two pieces
being at the same 45 degrees as the two end cuts.
Also try setting your e-mail font to a fixed space font, if you are
using a true type font ASCII art doesn't work.
