Hi Mike,
I received the mirror back today. The packing you mentioned wasn't far off
from the real thing. With the armor plating being 24 guage steel top and
bottom with 3/4" plywood on all four sides.
I guess it worked. It made it there and back in one piece.  Now if mother
nature will bless me with a clear night.
