I too, have to agree here with the perfect lap mold.  I have both purchased 
and met kevin.  I have made and remade my laps over and over (sitting in 
between sessions for long periods of time), It takes just a few minutes to 
pour the lap onto the mold, wait a few and then peel it off and you have a 
perfect lap, every time.  Press and ready to go.  If my channels close up, I 
freeze it, bang it off and remake it again.
