If you are working anywhere that your S.O. values, cover everything in 
sight with newspaper.  It's not bad if you are using burgundy pitch, but 
that Gugolz stuff, though opticians swear by it, is really messy.  You 
always end up with some drops spilling, and little threads forming where 
the stuff cools in mid air.  those break into little particles that can 
really get around.  With Gugolz, you will be able to see where each and 
every one of those has gone.  And you will have to clean it up!

Even with Burgundy, the newspaper is a good idea.  The pitch bits won't 
be black, but they will still be hard to clean up.
