[ATM] Lost tiles on tool. Need advice.

Hi all,
I'm grinding my first mirror, an 8" f/7 using a tile on hydrostone tool.   I 
lost a few tiles after 120 grit, and then some more after 220 grit.  They 
are gone from the lower left and right quadrants.  After that, I sealed the 
tool in wax, hoping it would help hold the tiles in place.   A sharpie test 
showed that I had a spherical surface after finishing the 220 grit, but now 
after about 45 minutes with 30 micron, the sharpie test says I no longer 
have a spherical surface.  And,  I can actually feel the tool rock a little 
when it is on the mirror.   Should I make another tile tool?  If I make 
another tool do I need to go back to 220 grit or even 120?
