Has anyone had the experience of setting up a scope, (reasonabley
isolated site) and having people just showing up? This happened today, I
set up to view the transit (made the solar screen (tm) filter today too,
BTW is there something better than this material in the thin film fliter
world, the image was *quite* blue?) and within ten minutes I had what
could only be called an instant star party... With only one scope it was
kinda interesting to see who was really interested, and those who were
only curious.

Anyway enough said.
