Wow. I made the bearings for my grinding machine turntable out of inline skate
wheels. Very quiet, but I only have 3 support points, which is not enough for
heavy stuff. I considered going to 6, on seesaws ala flotation cell, but I
think a few dozen is even better. I would have thought the ball bearings on
hardwood would not last very long, but I guess you proved me wrong.

Not yet. I seem to be having problems downloading, after my initial perusal of

BTW, I was thinking you might have less chip out with a continuous wheel
instead of the segmented one you appear to be using...
