[ATM] Pretoria eyepiece

Helloes from Gianluca, Italy.

Whenever I can, I start new projects, the last ones being mostly small ones
as I have to manage the reduced available space in this Rimini's flat...
Trying to study more in depth eyepieces (I've built a few ones), I'm
intrigured with this design, being developed by Klee (and others),
manufactured by University Optics in the Nineties but with small success.
The use of the Smith lens as a mean to bring wide corrected fields have been
developed and brought to the masses by Al Nagler (and by Glen Speers), but
I'm interested in studying the literature (the scientifical and technical
one, sure) of this coma free (better, coma correcting for matched Newt)
design. Nothing to say, I would like very much to own and try one, but no
hope to get one here, oversea... So maybe I'll try to build one, if I
remember the right use of my faithful TAIG lathe...

Here the question (sorry for the lenghty introduction...): is there anyone
knowing about a web resource where I could find a quite in depth study of
the Pretoria eyepiece ? I've found a reference in Rutten & Van Venrojii
"Telescope Optics...", but I haven't been able to rescue the paper. A
decription should have appeared on Telescope Making and maybe more have
appeared on the Professional papers...
I'll appreciate any contribution concerning URL, books, magazine or similia
where I could find informations (quite in depth, I repeat).
More, it would be great if someone else could be interested in starting a
discussion on this topic on the List.

I have a small admission to do: I have a (very small, just started) business
in optics and accessories (as several others subscribers) but, please allow
me to partecipate to the List (as I do very rarely); I'm an ATM at the core.
In any case I'll not attach any reference to my web site or business.

Hope in contacts.
In the meanwhile,
Clear Skies (nohope in Rimini).

Gianluca
