[ATM] Robo Glass Mill (Whooo Hooo :)

Greetings All,

What a very exciting evening I just experienced. Tonight was the first cut for
my newly constructed "Robo Glass Mill" I still have a bunch of work to do,
mostly code warrior stuff, but things look promising.

Tonight I "milled" a 10.8" blank out of some scrap stock, which will be used for
future tooling. The blank was cut from 3/4" thick plate glass. Including the
time to stop and take pictures, the whole process took 11 minutes :) Even
better, the cut came out fantastic, with the largest surface chip <1/4" (on the
back as usual). Sure beat the snot out of my best classical trepanning record
of nearly 2 hours!

So, what a "Robo Glass Mill", basically a 24" turntable, with a computer
controlled over arm. The purpose of the machine is to cut out circular and
elliptical blanks, perform both concave and convex curve generation, and with
its removable tooling, it can do classical mirror grinding methods as well.

I've thrown up a web-page showing images from tonight's first cut, they can be
view here in two size formats. Each webpage is the same, with 320x240 thumbnail
images, but differ on the size of the image selected for direct viewing.

#1 When clicking for a larger image, you download a ~125KB Image

#2 When clicking for a larger image, you download a ~ 1.5MB image (**WARNING,
Really large files**)

I've also thrown together a bunch of images taken during construction,
