For just a pipe, this would be true.

In their pictures I see a tiny ported "speaker box".   As a quick experiment, I
went here:
http://www.linearteam.dk/default.aspx?pageid=ventcalculator

and came up with the following to get a box with a resonance of 100hz

0.5litre box, with 10 ports, each 1mm diameter and 16mm in length.

Unfortunately, I haven't found any software to model boxes smaller than 1/2
liter.

Anyway, who knows if this would be of any use for us ATMs, but it is
"Interesting"..
