Re: [ATM] Finding Dark Skies
Art,
You can't tell me you'd never heard of Cherry Springs before. It's THE
dark-sky Mecca of the whole East coast. It's a state park surrounded by
state forest. Home of the Black Forrest Star Party, and full of observers
every month it's clear (even in winter).

To all who responded. . . . thank you!
Judging from what I've learned so far, I should look for property
somewhere along Route 6 or 44 between Wellsboro and
Coudersport. Best part of this is that the grass strip at Cherry
Springs is 162 miles from the airport where I am now based. A
one hour trip. There's also a lovely paved airport right next to the
Grand Canyon of PA. should I choose to move out there.
Pennsylvania never looked so good!
Thanks Again
Art
