Re: [ATM] Locating dark skies



You can also try the following experimental Java applet:

It brings up an 800x600 Java window with a zoomable colored map based on 
sky darkness of the USA, Mexico, and Southern Canada and has larger US 
cities and towns labeled for orientation.

On a PC or UNIX machine: Press the left button to zoom in. Press the 
right mouse button to zoom out.
On a Mac: Press the mouse button to zoom in. Press Apple + the mouse 
button to zoom out.
On all platforms: Press and drag any mouse button to move the image 
around the screen.

Once you get in far enough, it will change the mouse pointer from an 
arrow to a hand.  Clicking once more will bring up MapQuest centered on 
that point.
