Dominic,
nope, the human eye definately has chromaic aberation and all kinds of
other aberations as well. 

When I was in high school I read one of the ATM books that taled about
various aberations of optical systems, I used to lay in bed Saturday
morning and dream up ways to see those aberations in my own eyes. I had
some venetian blinds on the windows that would let thin slits of bright
sunlight into the darkened room and I'd use those as sources for various
experiments. I got to the point that I could easily see chromatic
aberation, distortion, astigmatism etc. Not what most teenage boys did
on a Saturday morning!
