I've often wondered if somehow the retina was laid out to help compensate for chromatic aberration. Reasoning, I've compared what I found on philology to the OSLO LT model. About 0.3 mm of chromatic piston is about an order of magnitude larger than the retinal layers involved. Perhaps this helps explain why de-focus is so well massaged. Anthony
