ATM polishing
Hi
I have been amazed at the level of knowledge on this mailing list and want to avail myself of it again.
I am now polishing with 320 grit SiC. With each new grit it takes me a wet or two to work out the right amount of grit and water to make it work properly. The backs of my mirror and tool are fairly transparent and I can often see one to many clumps of grinding compound between them. However when I add such a small amount so there is none of the this clumping there is very little compound there, maybe 1/2 square cm. What do you all think? This seems less than Tex's "pea sized" lump unless he had small peas!
